Marketplace policies & safety
SVTCart is a 3-in-1 marketplace for new products, secondhand finds and your own listings. These are the rules that keep it trustworthy for everyone.
Buyer protection
Every order is tracked from placement to delivery. If an item never arrives or is materially different from the listing, raise it from the order page within 48 hours of delivery and our team reviews the case before releasing funds to the seller.
Verified sellers
Sellers who complete ID and phone verification carry a Verified badge on their profile and listings. Unverified sellers can still list, but their listings show no badge — check ratings and reviews before you buy.
Payments
Pay only through SVTCart checkout using UPI, card, net banking or cash on delivery where eligible. Payments show a clear status — Pending, Paid, Failed or Refunded. A payment provider is not connected on this deployment yet, so orders are created with a Pending payment and no money is charged.
Delivery
New items ship in 3–5 days with free standard delivery above ₹999. Secondhand items may offer local delivery or pickup — the delivery options a seller supports are listed on each product page.
Returns
New items can be returned within 7 days of delivery if unused and in original packaging. Secondhand items are sold as described; inspect them at handover, because condition-based sales are final unless the listing was inaccurate.
Prohibited items & reporting
Counterfeits, recalled goods, weapons, live animals, medicines and stolen property are not allowed. Use Report listing on any product page to flag a scam, fake product, wrong information or prohibited item — our trust & safety team reviews every report.
Safety tips for secondhand buys
- Meet in a public place during the day, or use SVTCart delivery where offered.
- Inspect the item and test it fully before you pay.
- Pay through SVTCart checkout — never send advance money to a personal account.
- Never share OTPs, passwords or card details with a seller.
- Report anything suspicious with the Report listing button.
